Printsakes — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Printsakes, operated by Ledge Africa Ltd (RC 9577536) of BLK 411, Akinyele Street, Ipaja, Lagos, Nigeria ("Printsakes", "we", "us"), governing your use of printsakes.com and the products you order (together, the "Service"). By using the Service or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Printsakes does

Printsakes is an online studio where you design custom photo frames and photobooks. We print your design through our print partners and deliver it to you. We currently deliver within Lagos and selected areas — you can check availability for your address at checkout.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use the Service and place orders.

3. Your account and sessions

You can design without signing in — we keep your work in an anonymous session on your device. You may optionally sign in (by email code or Google) to save your designs across devices. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Notify us of any unauthorised use.

4. Your content, your rights, and the licence you give us

  • You keep ownership of the photos and content you upload.
  • You grant us a limited licence to store, reproduce, adapt (e.g. crop, colour-correct, lay out) and print your content, and to share it with our print and delivery partners, solely to produce and deliver your order and to provide the Service to you. This licence ends when it is no longer needed for those purposes, except for copies we must keep by law.
  • You promise that: you own or have the right to use every photo and piece of content you upload; your content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights; and it is not unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable. Where your content includes other people (including children), you confirm you have the right to use their image for printing.
  • You indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your breach of these promises.
  • We may refuse, hold or cancel any order whose content appears to infringe rights or to be unlawful or objectionable, and refund it where appropriate.

5. Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are prepaid — payment is required before we produce your order.
  • We accept card and bank transfer via Paystack, and manual bank transfer where offered. The price payable is the price shown at checkout (including any delivery fee), confirmed at the time of payment.
  • We take care to price correctly, but if an item is listed at an obviously wrong price due to an error, we may cancel the affected order and refund you; we will contact you first where we can.

6. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we confirm your order (for example, your payment succeeds and you receive an order confirmation). Every item is made to order from your design.

7. Your design is your responsibility — proof before you pay

Because each item is custom-made from what you submit:

  • What you see is what we print. You are responsible for your design, including spelling, captions, cropping, the photos you choose, and image quality. Please review your design carefully before you pay.
  • Low-resolution photos may print blurry or pixelated. Where we can detect this we show a warning, but the final decision to proceed is yours, and we are not responsible for quality issues caused by the source image you provided.
  • Colour and screen variation. Printed colours can differ slightly from how they appear on your screen due to differences between screens, inks and materials. Minor variation is normal and is not a defect.

8. Our make-it-right guarantee

We stand behind our craft. As a goodwill promise, if your order arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the design you approved, contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo, and we will remake and re-deliver it free, or refund you, at our discretion. This goodwill window does not cover issues caused by your own design choices or low-resolution source photos (see clause 7), or normal colour/material variation.

This 7-day goodwill promise is in addition to, and does not limit or replace, your statutory rights. Under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2018 (FCCPA), goods must be of acceptable quality and free of defects, and your legal rights in respect of faulty or defective goods apply regardless of this window and cannot be signed away.

Because items are personalised and made to order, they are otherwise not returnable or refundable for a change of mind once production has started. This does not affect your statutory rights for goods that are faulty, defective, or not as described.

9. Cancellations

You may cancel an order for a full refund only before we begin production. Once production has started, an order cannot be cancelled because it is being custom-made for you. Contact us quickly if you need to cancel.

10. Delivery

  • We deliver to the address you provide; please make sure it is accurate and complete. We are not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by a wrong or incomplete address.
  • Delivery timeframes shown are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by production and logistics.
  • Risk in the item passes to you on delivery. If it arrives damaged, our guarantee in clause 8 applies.
  • If delivery fails because you are unavailable or unreachable, we may arrange re-delivery, which may incur a further fee.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including uploading unlawful or infringing content, attempting to access other users' data or orders, interfering with or overloading the Service, or using it for anything illegal. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

12. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (including Paystack, Supabase, Vercel, Resend and Google). Your use of their features may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, but we choose reputable providers.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer under the FCCPA, or liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms or the Service. We will post updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date; material changes take effect when posted, and continuing to use the Service means you accept them. Orders are governed by the Terms in force when you placed them.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. We would rather sort out any problem directly — please contact us first and we will try to make it right.
