Full-timeRemote — anywhere in Nigeria
Apply for this role Closes 31 August 2026

About Printsakes

We're building an online studio where everyday Nigerians design custom photo frames and photobooks, a wedding album, a baby's first year, a mother's 60th and get them delivered to their door in Lagos. No shop visits. No back-and-forth on WhatsApp about what size and how much. You upload your photos, confirm the design in the browser, see a fixed price, pay, and it arrives.

We are pre-launch. The product is being built now, Lagos first. That means the accounts you'd be running have close to nothing on them, and your job is to take them from zero to an audience that actually buys. If that sounds like the fun part, keep reading. If you'd rather inherit something already working, this isn't the one.

The role

You'll be the first marketing hire and the person who gives Printsakes a voice. You own what we make, when it goes out, and who else is talking about us.

This is a hands-on making job, not a strategy-deck job. Most days you're shooting something, editing something, or writing something.

Content — shooting and editing

  • Shoot photos and short-form video of our frames and photobooks: unboxings, "from camera roll to keepsake" transformations, behind-the-scenes at the print partner, customer reactions.
  • Edit it yourself — Reels, TikToks, carousels. CapCut and a phone are perfectly fine tools here. We care that it's good, not that it was expensive.
  • Write the captions. Our voice is warm and sentimental without being sappy, and it sounds Nigerian — not like a template.

Calendar and posting

  • Own the content calendar end to end: plan the month, keep the queue full, post daily.
  • Run Instagram and TikTok as the priority channels, with X and Facebook as secondary.
  • Plan around what our customers actually plan around: wedding season, Christmas and Detty December, Mother's and Father's Day, Val's, graduations, birthdays, new babies.
  • Report on what's working. We use PostHog and native analytics; you'll tell us which content drives people into the design studio, not just which got likes.

Influencers, vendors and UGC

  • Find and manage micro-influencers, and — importantly — the wedding ecosystem: photographers, planners, decorators, MUAs. These people hold our customers' best photos.
  • Negotiate small collaborations and gifting deals, and keep them on schedule.
  • Build a steady drip of customer content: get real buyers to film their unboxing, get permission to reshare, make being featured feel like a small honour.

Community (shared)

  • You triage public comments and general DMs — questions about sizes, prices, delivery times, "how does it work."
  • Real orders, complaints, and anything about a specific delivery get handed to ops. You're not carrying customer support alone; you are the first friendly face.

What we're looking for

No years-of-experience requirement. We're hiring on what you've made and what you've grown. We'll ask for accounts, and we'll look at them.

You'll do well here if:

  • You can point to at least one account you ran and show what it looked like before and after you got there.
  • You can shoot and edit short-form video yourself, today, without hiring anyone.
  • You write well in a human voice, and you know the difference between a caption that sounds like a person and one that sounds like a brand.
  • You are genuinely online — you know what's happening on Nigerian TikTok and Instagram this week, not last year.
  • You are organised enough that a calendar you own doesn't quietly go empty in week three.
  • You're comfortable working remotely with light supervision, and you say something early when you're stuck.

Nice to have, not required: photography or design chops (Canva, Lightroom, Figma), experience with a consumer or e-commerce brand, existing relationships in the Lagos wedding or events scene, some paid-ads exposure for when we get there.

Practical details

  • Remote, anywhere in Nigeria. We work async; expect a weekly call and steady written check-ins.
  • Lagos is a plus but not required — the product, the print partners, and most early customers are here, so occasional in-person shoots are easier if you're local. If you're not, we'll work out how content gets made.
  • You'll need your own phone capable of decent video, and a reliable internet setup. We cover data, shoot costs, and any tools you need.
  • Full-time. This is your main thing, not a side gig.

How to apply

Applying takes about ten minutes and asks for links to accounts you've run. No cover letter, no CV required — though you can attach one if you'd like.

The form asks what you're looking for on pay. Tell us honestly — we'd rather work from your number than have you guess at ours. There's a performance bonus at launch on top, tied to audience growth and orders that come from social.

We read every application. Shortlisted people get a short call with the founder, then a small paid test brief so you can show us how you actually work.

Sound like you?

Bring links to what you’ve made. That matters more to us than anything else you could send.
